The bottle sources of ReTraze Island Plastic is mainly from the communities in sea islands.
Besides, ReTraze has been a long-term sponser of NGOs dedicated to cleaning up plastic waste on sea islands, working with small recycling bbusiness owners, hostel owners, volunteers, and tourists to persistently engage in plastic clean-up efforts. In certain remote islands such as Qingbang Island, small compactors are used to compres plastic bottles, which are then transported by boats to the main island in Zhoushan Island, Zhejiang, China.
Washing & Chips

The plastic bottles undergo cleaning, crushing, and melting at the processing plant in Huzhou city, eventually transformed into 100% recycled polyester Chips. ReTraze enhances the traceability of recycled chips and subsequent Product by adding unique traceable materials into the chips, enabling the physical traceability of ReTraze Island Plastic product.
Yarn Spinning
Location: Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province

The process begins with testing the physical properties of ReTraze Island Plastic chips, icluding moisture content, viscosity, impurities, and more. These chips undergo processes to produce filament yarn including melting, extrusion, and cooling, etc. The yarn plant in Jiaxing produces thick yarn by projects, such as 150D. ReTraze also works with other yarn plants for fine yarn production.
Only the yarn that passes laboratory testing can be utilized in fabric weaving. Thanks to the traceable materials inside, both the yarn and subsequent fabrics can be thoroughly tested and identified.
